010/18 Matters Raised by Cllrs
Clerk reported that although she has contacted the contractors re the roof at The Welfare Hall they have not inspected the premises. Action: DR to contact contractors.
Smoke alarms – Action: DR to get quotes for necessary work to be carried out at The Welfare Hall.
The Christmas festivities were a success, records of expenditure and quantities were recorded by Cllr Edwards to enable quantities to be calculated next Christmas.
Christmas tree – DR has contacted contractors and the lights have been removed. Action: Cllr Richards to speak to LC about recycling the Christmas tree. Cllr will discuss the planting of a Christmas tree at the next meeting. Action: DR to research cost of solar lights.
011/18 Telephone box at entrance to village
Councillors discussed the dilapidated state of the telephone box and asked the clerk to make enquiries to BT regarding removal of the box if it is no longer in use
012/18 The Welfare Age Connects
The Age Connect two year project has now finished and funding is no longer available for that project. Age Connects have not approached the council in regard to future use of the hall.
Cllr discussed the possibility of other groups using the Hall to generate income. ACTION: Cllr Richards volunteered to take photos of the Hall and advertise availability through social media.
