This notice applies from 9th November 2020 to 4th December 2020
Each year the annual accounts are audited by the Auditor General for Wales. Prior to this date, any interested person has the opportunity to inspect and make copies of the annual return and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts etc. relating to them for twenty (20) working days on reasonable application to:
The Clerk, Blaengwrach Community Council, the Welfare Hall, Heol Y Felin, Cwmgwrach, Neath SA11 5TB (please contact on Council Telephone Number 07856 675549 to arrange a mutually agreed date and time).(SUBJECT TO THE WALES GOVERNMENT CORONAVIRUS/COVID-19 GUIDELINES INFORCE BETWEEN THE DATES BELOW).
Commencing on 9th November 2020 and ending on 4th December 2020.
From the 4th December 2020 until the audit has been completed, Local Government Electors and their representatives also have:
1) The right to question the Auditor General about the accounts. The Auditor General can be contacted via BDO LLP, Arcadia House, Maritime Walk, Ocean Village, Southampton SO14 3TL; and
2) The right to attend before the Auditor General and make objections to the accounts or any item in them. WRITTEN notice of an objection MUST be first given to the Auditor General via BDO LLP, Arcadia House, Maritime walk, Ocean Village, Southampton SA14 3TL. A copy of the written notice MUST be given to the Council.
The audit is being conducted under the provision of the Public Audit (Wales) Act 2004, the Accounts and Audit (Wales) Regulations 2014 and the Auditor General for Wales`s Code of Audit Practice.
