Following consultation with and guidance received from Senedd Wales, the Blaengwrach Community Council have decided to reopen the children`s playground, MUGA & 3G Pitch in the Welfare Park with effect from Monday 20th July 2020.
All visitors/users to/of the Park, Muga, 3G Pitch & the Park`s Green Areas are REMINDED of the following guidance issued by the Senedd to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus/Covid-19;
a) That people NOT from the same household/social “bubble” SHOULD maintain a two metre distance between each other;
b) That one adult accompany younger children to the play ground;
c) That the maximum number present in the children`s play ground at the same time is ten (10) (e.g. five children & five adults);
d) (In the children`s playground) – If there is a great demand for use of the equipment that the adults present use their discretion on the amount of time that they & their children stay in the playground, so that as many people as possible can have use of the facilities;
e) DURING THE PANDEMIC, THAT NO FOOD BE CONSUMED ANYWHERE IN THE PARK, INCLUDING THE “GREEN AREA” NEAR THE PERGOLA;
f) That ALL rubbish etc. be placed in the bins provided and NOT dropped & left on the floor/ground (this applies to all areas of the park);
g) IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH USER/VISITOR TO ENSURE THAT THEY KEEP THEMSELVES AND OTHERS AS SAFE AS POSSIBLE AT ALL TIMES.
THE GUIDELINES RECEIVED FROM SENEDD WALES GIVE THE OWNERS/OPERATORS OF ALL PARK FACILITIES THE RIGHT TO MONITOR ALL SAFETY ASPECTS OF CHILDREN`S PLAYGROUNDS, MUGAS, 3G PITCHES ETC. AND IF THAT OWNER/OPERATOR FINDS THAT THERE IS AN INCREASED DANGER OF THE SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS/COVID-19 RELATING TO THESE AREAS, THEN TO CLOSE THEM WITHOUT NOTICE.
